According to a reporter from Foshan Daily, on November 2, the Nanhai District Science and Technology Association organized a science education base exchange meeting. The event was held at the Roadshow Center of Lishui Smart Home Experience Hall. Summarized and deployed the construction work of the Science Popularization education base in Nanhai District, and awarded the license for the newly recognized Nanhai District Science Popularization Education Base in 2021.

Yu Xinbing, a professor at Sun Yat-sen University, believes that teenagers are highly curious and malleable. The key to doing a good job in Science Popularization for teenagers is not how much knowledge and skills they have, but through scientific education, such as interactive experience in Science Popularization venues, hands-on operation in skill competitions, etc, stimulate their scientific interest and curiosity.

Up to now, there are 35 Science Popularization education bases in the district, including 10 at the provincial level, 4 at the municipal level, and 21 at the district level. The Science Popularization education base covers both emerging industries such as big data, drones, 3D printing, and robotics, as well as traditional cultural fields such as fragrant cloud yarn.

This year, a total of 7 units have been newly identified as district-level Science Popularization education bases.
